At a sitting on July 28, 2023, the Senat adopted a resolution on the amendment to Reimbursement Act passed by the Sejm, introducing a number of changes to its wording. One of the most significant proposals of the Senat concerns the removal from the amendment of a provision allowing reimbursement of over-the-counter medicines. In our newsletter, we take a look at the legislative process in this regard, as well as discuss the regulations passed by the Sejm and the position of Senat on the reimbursement of OTC medicines. The new solution – if it comes into force – will mean a major change for the entire reimbursement system.
